How credits are counted
One SMS credit covers up to 160 characters in English. Messages in Hindi, Bengali or any other regional script use Unicode, where one credit covers up to 70 characters.
Longer messages are sent in parts of 153 characters (English) or 67 characters (Unicode), and each part uses one credit.
Credits are valid for 12 months from the date they are added.
Pricing questions
What is DLT, and do I need to register?
Under TRAI rules, every business that sends SMS in India must register its business (entity), sender IDs (headers) and message templates on a DLT platform run by an operator such as Jio, Airtel, Vi or BSNL. Messages that do not match a registered template are blocked by the operator.
Once your templates are approved on DLT, save the same details in your Cloud SMS panel and start sending.
How do I add balance?
There is no online payment gateway. Transfer the amount to one of the bank accounts or the UPI ID shown on the Add balance page of your panel, then submit the UTR or bank reference number. The balance is added once the payment is verified.
How is GST charged?
The amount you transfer includes 18% GST. For example, a transfer of ₹1,180 adds ₹1,000 to your SMS balance, and the number of SMS credits is worked out at your account rate.
What is the minimum recharge?
The minimum amount you can transfer is ₹100.
Do SMS credits expire?
Credits are valid for 12 months from the date they are added.
